Joanna
Gonzales
Segment Producer, MAKING IT!
Joanna Gonzales is a writer/producer with six years of
experience working in television for companies such as
KABC, KCBS, WABC, CBS and The Style Network. She's covered
a myriad of topics: business, health, politics, public
affairs, arts and entertainment.
Joanna is especially
passionate about telling empowering, thought-provoking
stories about minorities. In 2001, she received an L.A.
Area Emmy Award for her work as a producer on KABC-TV's
"Vista L.A." -- a program dedicated to the Latino
community in Los Angeles.

Joanna received a BA in Communications from
Cal State Fullerton, with an emphasis on television and
film and holds a Master of Science degree from Columbia
University, where she attended the Graduate School of Journalism
in 2002, winning the school's John M. Patterson award for
excellence in video production.
A Southern California native, Joanna currently resides in
Los Angeles and contributes articles in her spare time to
such publications as the L.A. Weekly and The Beat music
magazine.
